Baseball Recap: Winslow Township Wins Going Away Against Lindenwold

Winslow Township got themselves on the board against Lindenwold on Tuesday, but Lindenwold never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Lions. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024.

Johnathan Lawrence was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Lawrence was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, D'Angelo King was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Samir Jordan, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Winslow Township has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winslow Township will challenge Cherry Hill West at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lindenwold, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lindenwold Lions duke it out with Camden Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on the 10th.
