In what's become a running theme this season, the Albuquerque Academy Chargers gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 53-32 margin over Belen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Albuquerque Academy has posted since December 28, 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Noelani Montoya, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashton Capps, who scored nine points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Albuquerque Academy and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Belen, they bumped their record down to 6-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Albuquerque Academy will take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Valley is ranked 62nd, while Albuquerque Academy is ranked 37th). As for Belen, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Pius X will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
