Mid-Penn - Keystone recap Sept. 26, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Red Land, who took down 60th ranked Red Land, 26-14. Travis Morrill ran for 105 yards in the win.
Jailen Harmon of Hershey ran for the longest rushing play in Mid-Penn - Keystone this season against Cedar Cliff last week. Harmon ran for 97 yards on the play and finished with 104 on the day as his team fell to the Colts.
Cedar Cliff's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Andrew Ford threw for 321 and one touchdown and Jacob Scott had 131 yards receiving. On the ground Ford chipped in 123 yards. Youssef Ajlane helped Cedar Cliff's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 127 yards.
Jim Cantafio's team's Ford and Scott have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ford has thrown for 1210 yards this season, while Scott, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 31 catches for 453 yards. Lower Dauphin's Morrill leads the league in rushing yards with 429.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bishop McDevitt takes on Susquehanna Township. As it stands, the Crusaders are in third, while the Indians are in fourth.
Susquehanna Township was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in Mid-Penn - Keystone. Joseph Headen's team vanquished Palmyra 61-14 earlier in the week.
