After flying high against the James Madison Preparatory School Patriots back in December of 2023, the Ajo Red Raiders came back down to earth. Ajo had to suffer through a rough 76-15 loss at the hands of Learning Foundation & Performing Arts. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ajo has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Learning Foundation & Performing Arts to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thaddeus Hawkins, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Hawkins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Amaree Davis, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Ajo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Learning Foundation & Performing Arts, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ajo will take on A+ Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Learning Foundation & Performing Arts, they will be playing at home against Trinity Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
