Basketball Recap: Keighley Davis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Princeton over Hall

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hall Red Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since December 20, 2023.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keighley Davis, who went 10 of 18 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. That's the most rebounds Davis has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Brandt, who posted seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Princeton's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-6. As for Hall, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Princeton Tigers duke it out with the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hall, they will face off against Newman Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
