The North Stanly Comets won against the Gray Stone Day Knights last Tuesday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. North Stanly took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 63-34 victory over the Knights. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-15.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Bitzer, who scored six points along with four steals. Evan Barber was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for North Stanly and bumps their season record up to 15-5. As for Gray Stone Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-15.
North Stanly will be playing at home against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Stanly is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Gray Stone Day, they will take on the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
