Baseball Recap: Lockney's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Lockney unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Clarendon Broncos, falling 22-15. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-12 back in March.

Adrian Jimenez and Dyllan Thiebaud stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jimenez scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Thiebaud scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Thiebaud is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Haygen Lefevre also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lockney's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Clarendon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lockney will square off against Quanah at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Clarendon, they will host Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
