Basketball Recap: Sharon Has No Trouble Against Iroquois

Sharon was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Iroquois on Friday. The Sharon Tigers were the clear victor by a 67-47 margin over the Iroquois Braves. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Iroquois still got an impressive performance from Roman Caporale, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 25 points. Caporale's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kellen Burroughs was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Sharon's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Iroquois, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sharon will face off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Iroquois, they will square off against Harbor Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harbor Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
