On Friday, Murray narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Provo 54-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Murray.
Murray's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Auclaire led the charge by scoring 21 points. The game was Auclaire's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Davies, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Murray back to even at 2-2. As for Provo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murray's road trip will continue as they head out to face Granger at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Granger comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Provo, they will head out on the road to face off against Spanish Fork at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Fork is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
