The Babcock Trailblazers came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Innovation Montessori as Babcock made off with a 46-25 victory. Babcock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.
Babcock found their leader in underclassman Jameson Habing, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Habing is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Drake, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Innovation Montessori struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are 1-3 when they can't control their own glass like that.
Babcock's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Innovation Montessori, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
Babcock will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Family Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. As for Innovation Montessori, they will head out on the road to take on Regency Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
