The Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans lost against the American Patriots back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hialeah-Miami Lakes was beaten by American 69-17. Hialeah-Miami Lakes has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
American got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Torres out in front who scored 9 points along with 4 steals. Torres has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alexandre Brigitte, who scored 11 points.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for American, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hialeah-Miami Lakes will square off against Mater Academy Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mater Academy Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for American, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
