Cascade was dealt a 76-44 defeat at the hands of Summertown on Friday. Cascade was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.
Grayson Burleson was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks for Summertown. The match was Burleson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Bennett, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Cascade has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Summertown, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will take on Cannon County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
