The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by Northeast on the road to the tune of 49-18. The result was nothing new for Mid-Prairie, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Mid-Prairie was led to victory by Hudson Ehrenfelt and Brady Weber. Ehrenfelt gained 186 total yards and two touchdowns, while Weber threw for 162 yards and five touchdowns. Dylan Henry also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.
Mid-Prairie's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Kaden Kos and his two sacks.
Mid-Prairie's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Northeast, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Mid-Prairie will head out on the road to face off against Prairie City-Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie City-Monroe has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last four matchups. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
