The Struthers Wildcats won the last time they faced the McKinley Red Dragons, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Struthers came out on top against the Red Dragons by a score of 60-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Struthers.
McKinley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avon Fryer, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaunsene Blackmon, who scored 13 points.
Struthers' victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for McKinley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Struthers will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lakeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. As for McKinley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South Range's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
