Even though the A Accelerated Prep scored an imposing 71 points on Sunday, Balboa School still came out on top. Balboa School had just enough and edged A out 73-71. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Balboa School also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.
Balboa School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jahmarian Forrester, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Forrester hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Musonda, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
Balboa School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for A, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Balboa School will be playing in front of their home fans against The Rock National at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
