The Casey County Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Central Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casey County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Casey County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 27-13 loss to Rockcastle County.
Meanwhile, Central never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 30-0 victory over DuBois Academy on the road. The result was nothing new for Central, who have now won four matchups by 30 points or more so far this season.
Steven Smith looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Central's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Amontez ?Koolaid? Woolfolk and his two sacks.
Rockcastle County's victory bumped their season record to 9-1 while Casey County's defeat dropped theirs to 4-5.
Casey County was taken down by Central 48-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2014. Can Casey County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
