Lamar has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Bellaire Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lamar scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Cesar E. Chavez with a sharp 4-1 win. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Lamar considering their one-goal performance the game before.
Meanwhile, Bellaire has not lost a match since January 13th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They skirted past Cesar E. Chavez 2-1.
Bellaire was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Carlos Jasso and
Sayf Elkousy, who scored both of Bellaire's goals. The pair have combined for a total of three so far this season.
Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7-3 record this season. As for Bellaire, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-6.
Lamar beat Bellaire 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will Lamar repeat their success, or does Bellaire have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
