Lamar scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Cesar E. Chavez with a sharp 4-1 win. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Lamar considering their one-goal performance the game before.
Meanwhile, Bellaire has not lost a match since January 13th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They skirted past Cesar E. Chavez 2-1.
Bellaire was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Carlos Jasso and
Sayf Elkousy, who scored both of Bellaire's goals. The pair have combined for a total of three so far this season.
Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7-3 record this season. As for Bellaire, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-6.
Lamar beat Bellaire 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will Lamar repeat their success, or does Bellaire have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
