After flying high against Sumter on Tuesday, Ridge View came back down to earth. The Blazers lost 3-0 to the Blythewood Bengals on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Ridge View was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Blythewood work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 25-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blythewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fabianne Wood, who had 12 digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Wood a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Campbell, who had six digs and three aces.
Ridge View dropped their record down to 10-10-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Blythewood, the win got them back to even at 15-15.
