Greenfield/Northwestern's Riley Marsh rumbled for the longest rushing play in Western Illinois Valley - South this season in his game against Calhoun last week. Marsh ran for 51 yards on the play and finished with 67 on the day as his team defeated the Warriors.
Carrollton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating North Greene, 42-15. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Luke Palan provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Carrollton beat the Spartans.
Palan was the best running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 140 yards as Nick Flowers' team topped Calhoun. Teammate Clay Duba added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.
Greenfield/Northwestern's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Isaac Masters has thrown for 629 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Marsh has 13 catches for 233 yards.
At the moment, the Tigers are in second, while West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] is in third.
Greenfield/Northwestern took down jon hillen's team 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Masters threw for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
