Sebastian River lost to the Indians at home by a decisive 58-44 margin. Sebastian River has not had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keenan Matthews, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Amarion Smith, who scored 12 points.
Vero Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emmanuel Guirand, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals. Guirand is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremia Sanders, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Sebastian River has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Vero Beach, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vero Beach, they will be playing at home against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Edward's is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season.
