Lovington extended their postseason success on Friday against Artesia. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  11-10  win over the Bulldogs. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for the Wildcats, who until this  match were averaging 3.78  runs allowed.

  Zabri Rodriguez was  incredible,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with eight  RBI, three  doubles,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zemarie Ellis, who  went 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  RBI.
The  victory was  the third in a row for Lovington, bringing their record up to 23-9. As for Artesia, their defeat  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 22-9.
 Lovington has already played their next contest,  a  7-0  loss against Silver on the 17th. Artesia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
