Solebury is 4-0 against Mastery since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Solebury Spartans will be home for the holidays to greet the Mastery Warrior at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Solebury focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Thursday.
Solebury scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The City School 85-50 on the road. That looming 85-50 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Solebury yet this season.
Tyler Simpson and Makhai Anderson were among the main playmakers for Solebury as the former scored 22 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Simpson has scored at least 25% of Solebury's points. Another player making a difference was Joell Idrovo, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Mastery had to suffer through a rough 101-20 loss at the hands of Eastside. Mastery has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Solebury's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Mastery, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Solebury won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February, slipping by Mastery 1-0. Will Solebury repeat their success, or does Mastery have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
