Arlington Christian will head out on the road to take on the Cumberland Christian Academy patriot at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Arlington Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 493 points over their last seven games.
Even though Hills Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Arlington Christian still came out on top. Arlington Christian took their contest against Hills Academy 67-58.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arlington Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Davon Aikens, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Aikens is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chezi Essel, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Cumberland Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy at home to the tune of 88-28. That 60 points margin sets a new team best for Cumberland Christian Academy this season.
Arlington Christian pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Cumberland Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Arlington Christian came up short against Cumberland Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 60-56. Can Arlington Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
