The North Canyon Rattlers will head out on the road to square off against the Central Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 671 points over their last nine games.
On Monday, North Canyon strolled past the Jaguars with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. Given North Canyon's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Jaguars are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
In what's become a running theme this season, Central gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Fairfax 97-63 on the road. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
North Canyon pushed their record up to 14-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.
North Canyon came up short against the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 65-61. Can North Canyon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
