The Booker T. Washington Hornets came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged Collinsville out 56-53. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Booker T. Washington has scored all year.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Booker T. Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joc Mitchell, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Isaac Sanders was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Booker T. Washington pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Collinsville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.
