After flying high against the North Stafford Wolverines last Friday, The Stafford Indians came back down to earth. Stafford ended up on the wrong side of a rough 34-8 walloping at the hands of Riverbend on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stafford in their matchups with Riverbend: they've now lost five in a row.
Jordyn Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverbend, rushing for 105 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Amir Mateo was another key contributor, rushing for 92 yards on only seven carries.
Stafford has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Riverbend, their win bumped their record up to 4-4.
