On Saturday, Plano beat Westmont 14-11. The win continues a trend for the Reapers in their matchups with the Sentinels: they've now won nine in a row.
Elizabeth Hansel made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Annabelle Solis, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Chloe Rowe was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Plano was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westmont only posted a batting average of .214.
Meanwhile, Morris never let their opponents score on Saturday. Everything went their way against Plainfield South as they made off with a 17-0 victory.
Halie Olson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Croegaert, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.
Morris' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Plano, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Plano has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Morris struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
