The S & S Consolidated Rams pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Colbert. While losing is never fun, S & S Consolidated can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 973rd in Texas, while Colbert is ranked 36th in Oklahoma).
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Orr, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Turner, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
S & S Consolidated bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Colbert, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
S & S Consolidated will look to defend their home court on Friday against Calvary Academy at 1:00 p.m. Colbert will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bonham at 12:00 p.m. on December 1st. Bonham will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
