After a string of four wins, the Westwood Longhorns's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost to Neosho on the road by a decisive 64-47 margin.
Neosho's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Collier Hendricks led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Colton Southern, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Neosho, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Westwood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fairview at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Neosho will finish 2023 at home by hosting Huntsville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Huntsville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
