After losing to the Lawrence Upper Lions the last time they met, the Horizon Science Academy Dragons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Horizon Science Academy blew past Lawrence Upper 54-22 at home.
Despite the loss, Lawrence Upper saw an underclassman step up: Nohla Marbley scored 12 points. Kayla Ponyard was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
The win got Horizon Science Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Lawrence Upper, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy will square off against Holy Name at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Holy Name focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Lawrence Upper, they will head out on the road to face off against Open Door Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
