The Covenant Christian Warriors's four-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They came out on top against Columbus North by a score of 54-46.
Covenant Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nef Farrell, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Nathan Crane was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Several Bull Dogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Ferguson, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Long, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The win got Covenant Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Columbus North, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will challenge Guerin Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Guerin Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday. As for Columbus North, they will head out on the road to take on Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mooresville is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
