Basketball Recap: Wauwatosa East Sets Scoring Season-High Against Germantown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wauwatosa East). They blew past the Germantown Warhawks, posting a 103-62 victory. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 20 points or more this season.

Danica Gosz and Jaycee Mani certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Gosz went 6 for 14 en route to 17 points, while Mani posted 14 points and three steals. Gosz has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Teigan Stuve, who scored nine points.

Wauwatosa East's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

The future could be bright for both Wauwatosa East and Germantown: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Wauwatosa East will look to extend Menomonee Falls' three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Germantown will try to hand West Allis Hale their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
