Volleyball Recap: Redbank Valley Has No Trouble Against Union

Redbank Valley won the last time they faced Union and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights/Damsels.

Redbank Valley walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.

Union lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lillian Hayden, who had 18 digs and one assist. Hayden is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Kriebel, who had five digs and two aces.

Redbank Valley now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Union, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Redbank Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Cranberry Area at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Union will square off against rival Karns City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
