The Durango Trailblazers will take on the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Durango will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Durango is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Las Vegas, who was ranked third at the time (Durango was ranked 15th). Durango was the clear victor by an 18-8 margin over Las Vegas on Wednesday. The Trailblazers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aiden Farrell made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Durango is undefeated when Farrell allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Farrell was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jon Turner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Kysyn Kauahipaula, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Durango kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Sierra Vista narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bonanza 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mountain Lions have posted against the Bengals since April 4, 2018.
Brady Skinner was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Credico, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Sierra Vista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. Durango's victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Sierra Vista's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Durango has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. It's a different story for Sierra Vista, though, as they've only averaged .332. Will they be able to contain Durango's hitters?
Durango beat Sierra Vista 5-1 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Will Durango repeat their success, or does Sierra Vista has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
