In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Selander, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and one triple while going 3-for-3. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Elliotte Kajita, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
White River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Orting was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Washington, falling 11-1. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Orting saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madalynn Halte, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
White River's record is now 5-3. As for Orting, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. White River hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. However, it's not like Orting struggles in that department as they've averaged .339. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
