Millbrook is 8-0 against Knightdale since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Millbrook Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Knightdale Knights at 7:45 p.m. Millbrook is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
Wakefield typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Millbrook proved too difficult a challenge. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 75-46 victory over the Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Millbrook has posted against Wakefield since November 26, 2019.
Millbrook got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colt Langdon out in front who scored 18 points. Langdon is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Olander, who scored 14 points.
After soaring to a 24-point win in their last game, Knightdale came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Heritage by a score of 53-50. Knightdale's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brandon Adams, who scored nine points along with 19 rebounds and four blocks. His trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Khaim Taylor, who scored ten points.
Millbrook is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Knightdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Langdon and Isaiah Green. Langdon has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 27.3 points. For his part, Green has averaged 11.8 points, 3.9 steals, and 2.9 rebounds.
Millbrook beat Knightdale 76-63 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Millbrook repeat their success, or does Knightdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
