The Worthington Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Bexley Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bexley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Worthington Christian, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Worthington Christian made off with a 22-21 victory over Grove City Christian.
Hobie Raikes got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns. Jacob Corbin also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Bexley were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-7 loss at the hands of Bishop Ready. While losing is never fun, Bexley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 519th, while Bishop Ready is ranked 184th).
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jamie Wright, who picked up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown. Wright's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Worthington Christian's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 4-5. Bexley has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
