Conneaut was the  3-1 winner over Northwestern when they last played one another  back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans lost  3-0 to the Wildcats on Thursday. Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northwestern,  the  victory  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Looking ahead, Conneaut will welcome St. John  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Northwestern, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harbor Creek at 7:15  p.m.  on September 8.
