Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Marco Island Academy, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Donahue Catholic by a score of 2-1. Marco Island Academy has not had much luck with Donahue Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Marco Island Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Donahue Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-4 record this season.
Marco Island Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Donahue Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Mason Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
