After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lubbock-Cooper, Palo Duro was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Shallowater Mustangs. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Dons as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Palo Duro's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Shallowater, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palo Duro will square off against Coronado at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shallowater, they will take on Idalou at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Idalou will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
