South Rowan came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against East Rowan, but Jaxon Lyons wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 33-12 win on Friday with plenty of help from Lyons, who rushed for 246 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of East Rowan's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

Although South Rowan took the loss, they still got scores from Nick Woolf Jr. and Trystin Chadwick.

East Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for South Rowan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Rowan is set to take on their familiar foe Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Rowan will square off against rival Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Woolf Jr. and Damo'N Broussard.
