Littlestown is 10-0 against the Canners since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Littlestown Thunderbolts will head out on the road to challenge the Biglerville Canners at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Littlestown has seven straight victories, the Canners have five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though York Catholic scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Littlestown still came out on top. Littlestown walked away with a 63-55 victory over the Fighting Irish. Given Littlestown's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Biglerville came up short against the last Wednesday and fell 44-33.
Littlestown's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Biglerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Littlestown against the Canners in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 72-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Littlestown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
