The Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils took an ego-bruising defeat against Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] last Tuesday, but they kept their chin up and bounced back this past Thursday. The Black Devils beat the Mott-Regent Wildfire 69-61. For Hettinger/Scranton, this is just revenge for the 78-59 loss they suffered against Mott-Regent the last time they faced one another in Feb. 14 of last year.
The win bumped Hettinger/Scranton's record up to 6-16. Mott-Regent's overall record fell to 5-16.
Hettinger/Scranton will take on Beach on Friday. Hettinger/Scranton is at home for the game, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for Mott-Regent, they will go up against Richardton-Taylor on Friday. The Wildfire will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
