North Stanly has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Stanly's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
North Stanly put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Gray Stone Day as North Stanly made off with a 68-44 win. Given North Stanly's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Knights are ranked 439th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, South Stanly's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 16th straight loss. They were outmatched by Mount Pleasant at home and fell 68-25. South Stanly was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.
North Stanly's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for South Stanly, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.
North Stanly was able to grind out a solid win over the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, winning 54-41. Does North Stanly have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rowdy Rebel Bulls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
