This season hasn't been kind to the North Central Knights, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were beaten by Chesterfield 51-14 on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Central in their matchups with the Golden Rams: they've now lost six in a row.
Leading Chesterfield to victory were Terrahjah Robinson and Kierra Diggs. Robinson scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Diggs scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Diggs has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Jaeda Johnson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and five steals.
North Central dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chesterfield, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will face off against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday. As for Chesterfield, they will head out on the road to face off against the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Golden Rams are ranked 103rd).
