The Apple Springs Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Slocum Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apple Springs will be strutting in after a win while Slocum will be coming in after a defeat.

Faith Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off 12 hits (and only one walk). Smith was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Brooke Brister was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Sophie Oldham was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Slocum didn't have quite enough to beat Douglass on Tuesday and fell 5-4.
