The Ridgeline Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Imagine Prep Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Ridgeline Academy: 29.6, Imagine Prep: 29.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
Last Thursday, Ridgeline Academy came up short against East Valley Athletes for Christ and fell 56-47. It was the first time this season that Ridgeline Academy let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, Imagine Prep put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 93-7 win over Glenview College Prep at home. Imagine Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Imagine Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aaliyah Chacon, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine steals, and Bella Ernsberger, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ernsberger has scored all season. Jaiona Allen was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals and five assists.
Ridgeline Academy's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4. As for Imagine Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Ridgeline Academy came up short against Imagine Prep in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 64-53. Can Ridgeline Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
