Stilwell is on a five-game streak of home wins, while the Bulldogs are on a nine-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Stilwell Indians will take on the Muldrow Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stilwell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 274 points over their last four games.
Stilwell can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 74-47 win over Locust Grove. Stilwell pushed the score to 56-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stilwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Prairie Holmes, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Holmes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Snowda Watie, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Muldrow proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Roland 39-37. The win was all the more spectacular given Muldrow's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Rangers are ranked 17th).
Stilwell is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Muldrow, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-5.
Stilwell was able to grind out a solid win over the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January, winning 52-39. Will Stilwell repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
