On Saturday, Trimble County lost to Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 57-41 margin.
Christian Academy was led to victory by Joshua Renfro and David Cook. Renfro scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Cook scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Renfro's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Josh Chancey, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Trimble County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Trimble County is on the road again on Thursday and play against Somerset Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Somerset Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bloomfield at 8:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
