The Glenrock Herders's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Moorcroft and snuck past 38-36. The victory was just what Glenrock needed coming off of a 62-21 loss in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Moorcroft still got an impressive performance from Kaeley Hutchison, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Lubkeman, who scored four points along with two blocks.
Glenrock's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Moorcroft, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenrock and Newcastle will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Newcastle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Saturday.
